A TEIGNBRIDGE fire station has welcomed its newest recruit.

Ben Leaney, pictured right, is Buckfastleigh Fire Station’s newest recruit.

Ben was officially welcomed aboard on Tuesday, January 7.

A spokesperson for the station said: ‘Ben now begins his journey as a firefighter starting with his induction course and initial training courses this month, very different from his day job as a teacher.’
