FIRE crews from four stations battled flames as a bungalow caught fire at Doddiscombleigh today, Thursday.
Fire appliances from Bovey Tracey, Dawlish, Danes Castle and Middlemoor took part.
A spokesperson for Fire Control said: ‘Three fire appliances attended a property fire which was well alight on arrival.
‘Crews requested assistance from a fourth appliance, and the water bowser.
‘Crews confirmed all persons out of the building, and got to work extinguishing the fire using two hose reel jets and two main jets.
‘Good progress was made, and solar panels on the roof of the building were isolated. Crews used ladders and main jets to damp down areas.’
