CHUDLEIGH Library has been successful in obtaining a ‘Growing Communities Fund’ grant from Devon County Council.  

This has allowed the library to buy some new furniture, coffee and juice cups, as well new shelving on order for the children’s library – the funding has also enabled the library to buy new tables.

Part of the funding has been allocated to staffing and so thje library will be open for additional hours up to two days a week, until the end of March – the first of these extra hours began on February 21.

Chudleigh folk and those from further afield are encouraged to come on in and try out their new chairs, enjoy a tea or coffee and make use of the free wi-fi, daily newspapers, fiction and non-fiction books or just to stop by for a chat!
