POLICE are reminding people to properly secure their garages following a spate of attempted break-ins in Bovey Tracey.

The attempts occurred during the night, and were only discovered because of tool marks on the garage doors.

The neighbourhood policing team covering Bovey Tracey have issued advice after confirming that there had been several attempts to break into garages in the town.

‘No access was gained, however this is reminder to make sure that we all secure garages properly and where possible fit alarms and have lighting covering any access points’ a spokesperson for the team said.

.‘Marking your property is also a must so that if it is stolen and recovered we can return it to you,’ the spokesperson added.
