AN enterprising group of young Teignmouth science enthusiasts are using British Science Week to launch an exciting new initiative to stimulate interest in the world of science.
The newly-formed Trinity School Science Buskers are a team of pupils aged eight to 18 years old, whose aim is to share their love of science and psychology with other young people aged six to 14 in the wider community.
The students will entertain children with a range of simple, safe and fun demonstrations and engage visitors to the event in science workshops. Demonstrations will include rockets, gravity-defying magnets, the mysteries of lava lamps and a whole series of other exciting, fun and educational activities that young people can take part in.
They will be starting their busking careers with two public events. The first will be a street-based activity at The Triangle tomorrow from 10.30am to noon.
It will be followed by another date at the science week event in Teignmouth Pavilions on Sunday, March 19, from 11am to 1pm.
