HUNDREDS of colourful jam jars full of dreams – created by pupils at a Newton Abbot primary school – are to go on show this weekend.
Youngsters from Wolborough have been hard at work making more than 200 ‘dream jars’ based on Roald Dahl’s BFG story.
Their creations will be showcased at an exhibition about the famous children’s book at Torre Abbey in Torquay.
The display – featuring reproductions of Quentin Blake’s illustrations for the book and a BFG cave – starts tomorrow and runs until September.
Jenny Lovick, from Wolborough Primary School, said: ‘The children loved making their dream jars and covering the whole school in glitter.
‘We are looking forward to seeing our jars in place.’
