THE world of abstract painting will be making its mark in Teignmouth in an exciting new exhibition.

The exhibition, which will run from August 3 to August 16 at the Teignmouth Arts Action Group (TAAG) gallery, features the works of The Nutcombe Group, a group of local artists committed to exploring abstract painting and the various ways it can be viewed.

With renowned local artist Martin Dutton at its helm, the Nutcombe Group emerged from a set of talks and a workshop given to the Teignmouth Art Society when Martin was its president.

Inspired by his talks and workshop, several of the participants brought their works to Martin’s own studio at Nutcombe House for discussion - several further meetings later, and the ‘Nutcombe Group’ was formed.

The Nutcombe Group Exhibition at TAAG gallery runs from 10am to 5pm daily, except on the final day August 16 when its open from 10am to 3pm.
