A COMMUNITY centre in the heart of Newton Abbot is to host an outreach event spearheaded by two local surgeries.

Templer Wellbeing, a joint enterprise between Cricketfield Surgery and Devon Square Surgery, is hosting its summer community outreach event on Thursday, August 15.

The Courtenay Centre will be hosting the event from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

Those looking to attend can expect to find help and support with various things, whether it be children and family support or carer guidance.

It should be noted that, you do not need to be a patient of either Cricketfield or Devon Square to attend the event.

In addition to its usual outreach support services as detailed above, the summer event will also have lots on offer for children, including biscuit decorating, fitness sessions, mini manicures and pedicures, gardening, first aid training and more.

All of the activities are free.
