A NEWTON Abbot charity is reminding the community of its newly renovated respite centre that is available for hire.
With more than 40 years of adult-care experience, the team at Meadowside are eager for the wider community to be aware of its specially designed respited daycare centre that is available to hire out.
The aim of the daycare centre is to benefit carers in Newton Abbot and surrounding towns, offering half and full day respite so carers can enjoy some personal time, knowing their loved ones are being looked after.
Trustee of the Meadowside Charity, Martin Smith, said: ‘The space is for people who need respite - it is a safe environment, with trained staff.
‘You can bring a loved one here, they can have a bit of lunch while you can go and get your hair cut or whatever it is.
‘There is also a garden so we they can do a bit of gardening when they are here if they want.
Open Monday to Saturday, the hall offers a flexible option for carers and accommodates for various schedules.
There is lots on offer: arts and crafts, bingo, board games, cooking and much more.
The introductory rates are as follows - 9am to 12pm for £35, 12pm to 3pm for £35 and 9am to 3pm for £60.
For more information, and to hire out the hall, contact Meadowside’s Kerry Stevens on 01626 241001 or via email on [email protected]
