DAWLISH will be marking the anniversary of the start of the Ukraine war by raising a flag.

Mayor of Dawlish Cllr Lisa Mayne will conduct the ceremony to raise the Ukrainian flag at the Piazza.

The event will take place on Friday February 24 at 4pm.

This will be a year on since the war in Ukraine began.

Dawlish has hosted a number of Ukrainian refugee families since the hostilities started.

The Stand With Ukraine event is welcome to anyone to attend.
