A DANGER rider on this suspected stolen bike has been detained in Newton Abbot.

This evening, Sunday, the town’s police police report on the incident in Newton Abbot and Kingsteignton on their Facebook Page.

They said: ‘On Thursday some of you may have noticed this suspected stolen bike riding dangerously around Kingsteignton and Newton Abbot.

‘The local CCTV operator captured the entire journey, with help from a local security guard who managed to detain the rider in a pedestrianised area until police arrived.

‘This bike may be electric but as far as the law is concerned it’s considered the same as a motorbike, the bike was seized and the rider dealt with for a number of traffic offences.

’*Update* – The owner has since come forward and confirmed the bike was stolen, the investigation continues.’
