A FOUR-month-old flamingo chick has escaped from Paignton Zoo.

The zoo announced on Facebook that the ‘curious’ bird had escaped its enclosure on Sunday, November 17.

There have not been any confirmed sightings so far, but Paignton Zoo are urging the public to keep an eye out.

‘One of our curious Flamingo chicks has decided that it wanted to explore the local area’ a spokesperson for the zoo said.

‘The keepers would like to reunite it with the rest of their family.

‘If you see it around, please can you let Paignton Zoo know on 01803 697500’ the spokesperson added.
