A WOMAN from Buckfastleigh has been convicted of using a train without paying.
Saffron Newmarch-Grant, 30, of Fore Street, was charged with travelling on the railway at Truro on June 15 without having paid the fare of £12.90 and with intent to avoid payment.
Magistrates at south and west Devon court found her guilty in her absence of the charge brought by Great Western Railway.
She was fined £220 and ordered to pay compensation of £12.90, victim services charge of £88 and costs of £180.
