DEVON County Council (DCC) has expressed thanks to South West Water (SWW) for completing work to a Newton Abbot road four days early.
The A382 Bovey Road had been closed for SWW to complete exploratory works ahead of DCC’s next phase of improvements to the road.
It was set for two weeks from February 24, but SWW lifted the closure early as it completed its work ahead of schedule.
‘The A382 re-opened on Monday afternoon, four days earlier than originally planned, and bus companies were informed of the early completion’ a spokesperson for Devon County Council said.
‘Our thanks go to South West Water for their co-operation and their efforts in completing the works so swiftly which has helped to minimise traffic disruption.’ the spokesperson added.
