ALL creatures great and small flocked to All Saints Church, Combeinteignhead, for a special service.

Led by Rev Annie Church and accompanied by Tony Cardwell, animals including cats, hens, ­rabbits, dogs and snails came together for a service to celebrate God’s creations.

Some 35 people from here, there and everywhere gathered in the church before taking part in the centuries old tradition of sheep blessing.

Church Warden Clare Wreford said: ‘Thanks must go to the Trowler family who brought their sheep for a traditional blessing.

‘The service was absolutely brilliant. It was a beautiful day – absolutely lovely!’

Plans are already in the making for next year’s event.
