THE community of Kingsteignton has a new piece of equipment in its armoury to help residents in times of medical emergencies.
St Michael’s C of E Primary School has installed a £1,000 defibrillator for use by anyone who needs it.
Stored in an external cabinet the device comes with simple instructions for use meaning even an untrained person could save another’s life when a heart attack strikes.
The project has been fully funded by Wolferstans Solictors and is part of a wider project being carried out by the United Schools Federation, of which St Michael’s is part, to offer more than education.
