A CARAVAN in Coffinswell was damaged by heat from a nearby bonfire. Firefighters were alerted to an incident of a caravan on fire in Ridge Road on Tuesday lunchtime. Two crews from Torquay went to the scene where they discovered a small fire on the outside of the caravan which had been caused by the bonfire. A hose reel jet, thermal imaging camera and small tools were used to put out the fire and check it had not spread. The incident happened just after 1pm.
