A VOLVO car was ‘completely destroyed on the A380 at Telegraph Hill near Kenn this morning, Thursday.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call shortly after 9.30am.
Fire Control reports: ‘Two crews from Middlemoor and Dawlish were mobilised to a vehicle on fire on the A380 at the top of Telegraph Hill.
Traffic was affected between the B3192 (Ashcombe turn off) and Great Haldon.
‘The car was well alight and completely destroyed by the time the fire crew had extinguished it using breathing apparatus, hose reels, a thermal imaging camera and an environmental protection spill kit.’
The incident was closed shortly before Noon.
