A YOUNG Teignmouth hairdresser has been put out of business for more than a month after her salon was wrecked by a burst water tank.

As Victoria Hogg, 27, surveyed the damage at Oodeys, Station Road, she said: 'It is a nightmare. I am fully insured, luckily, but this is going to take weeks to put right.'

She is continuing to pay her eight staff, and has spent the last few days contacting customers and dealing with insurance companies already at full stretch after a spate of flooding claims as a result of the icy weather.

Her Christmas was spoiled by a Boxing Day phone call from the police to say the salon was flooded.
