A BIKER suffered life-changing injuries in a crash in Shaldon.

The single vehicle accident happened yesterday on the coast road at Labrador Bay.

Emergency services rushed to the scene where the motorcyclist was found to have sustained a life-changing injury. 

The accident happened just after 2pm.

The rider had suffered what was described as a ‘nasty’ gash to his leg.

The A379 Teignmouth Road was closed in both directions between Deane Lane and Commons Lane while the casualty was attended to by paramedics.

A police spokesman said: ‘It is a single-vehicle RTC. A motorcyclist has got quite a nasty injury to his leg. 

‘It's life-changing but not life-threatening.’
