A BANNED driver who was caught in Kennford was jailed for nine weeks by South and West Devon Magistrates' Court.
Paul Anthony Edwards, aged 42, of Trumlands Road, Torquay, changed his pleas to guilty to a charge of driving while disqualified on November 2 last year.
The court said: ‘Reason: Offence so serious because the offence was aggravated by the defendant's record of previous offending.’
Edwards was also banned from driving for 46 months. He must also pay £250 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and £154 to fund victim services.
No separate penalty was imposed on a charge of driving without insurance. He pleaded guilty to this.
