DAWLISH town council is hoping to trace the relatives of a memorial bench which was washed away in the recent floods.
The wooden bench was retrieved from the Brook following the flash floods which hit the town.
Now town councillors are appealing for help to find the owners.
The plaque reads: ‘In memory of the late Wally Harwick - General Committee 1942-1961.’
It says the sea was presented by his friends and colleagues.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact the town council offices on 01626 863388.
