NEWTON Abbot has today, Tuesday, September 19, said goodbye to its branch of nationwide retailer Wilko.

The branch has been in the town some 13 years and employed around 30 people.

This comes after the Torquay branch closed days earlier, on Sunday, September 17.

Exeter and Plymouth’s Wilko stores will stay open for the meantime, but all Wilko stores across the UK will close at a later date.
