WOLBOROUGH Primary School in Newton Abbot continued its long-standing tradition of celebrating May last Friday.
Pupils from the school took to the town’s Market Square in the late spring sunshine to show off their dancing prowess in a colourful display.
They delighted both parents and shoppers alike with displays of both English country dancing and, of course, weaving intricate patterns with the ribbons attached to to the May Pole.
Later in the afternoon, following the official crowning of the May Queen Jasmine by the day’s Master of Ceremonies, Abhinav, the dancing resumed once more in the school playground with a performance for parents.
