FIREFIGHTERS from Chagford and Newton Abbot’s environmental protection unit dealt with a van blaze on the northern edge of Teignbridge.
They were joined by crews from North Tawton and Exeter who helped extinguish the vehicle on the A30 just outside Cheriton Bishop on Tuesday morning.
They got to work using four sets of breathing apparatus, two hosereel jets and a compressed foam extinguisher.
The specialists from Newton Abbot were tasked to clear some 50 litres of spilled fuel from the destroyed van.
A fire spokesman confirmed the cause of the incident was accidental.
