A CAR has been reported to have crashed into a house in Teignmouth this morning. 

Police issued a warning to drivers following the incident in Bitton Park Road which happened just after 8am. 

The road was closed while the emergency services were on the scene at the junction with Mill Lane. 

Police, fire and ambulance crews were at the scene of the accident where one of the vehicles involved was said to have crashed into a property in Bitton Park Road ‘causing significant damage’.

Teigmouth and Dawlish Police said: ‘Please be aware of a road traffic collision that has occurred this morning on the junction of Mill Lane and Bitton Park Road in Teignmouth.

‘We are on scene and dealing with this incident but it is likely to cause traffic disruption due to its location. Please consider using an alternative route.’
